EXPLORE AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

Kids EXPLORE After School, in collaboration with the Santa Cruz Education Foundation
(SCEF), is a district-wide After School Enrichment Program for all SCCS elementary
students. We are able to offer fun, affordable, and high quality after school classes that
allow kids to follow their passions and explore new activities at their own school site.

Kids EXPLORE After School is available to all elementary students, regardless of ability
to cover the cost of the enrichment classes. Currently, EXPLORE offers two 8-week
sessions per year, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. In the 2018-19 school year,
EXPLORE served approximately 650 students at the elementary schools offering a
variety of classes, including STEM, sports, language, art, and music.
In 2019-2020, EXPLORE plans to offer classes at all 5 elementary school sites:

● Bay View Elementary School
● DeLaveaga Elementary School
● Gault Elementary School
 Monarch Elementary School
● Westlake Elementary School

Registration for Fall 2019 classes is anticipated to begin the week of September
9th at your child’s school site. Classes are anticipated to begin the week of
September 23rd.
